Hiking Japs Valley- April 2010

The kids got some new water back packs and we had to try them out. They did awesome and we had so much fun. It was beautiful weather and we spent four hours just climbing and eating our lunch. I love to be outdoors with the kids. Nothing could be better. Oh, and I took way too many pictures....Enjoy!

Sleeping Beauty

Josie got some pajamas and a eye mask for her birthday from a friend. She seriously sleeps in the mask every night. What a cutie she is.

Bear Baiting Gone Bad......

I went bear baiting with some friends that I work with at the prison....it was a cold day and we were all on the four wheelers. We would drive for a ways and then they kept stopping to pull over and use their bonoculars to see where they should bait. They dedcided not to go up much further so we just rode the wheelers for a while. We got the Rhino stuck and had to dig us out and then Bown, Jensen and I went up a trail for a four wheeler ride that didnt turn out so good. We almost slid off the side of a cliff. Bown and I had to climb on to Jensens four wheeler, go back to the truck and then to Bowns house to wait for help. We went back up later and had to have another rhino winch us off the mountain. We got home before dark that night and was glad to be off the mountain. Even though it was a cold long day, we had a blast and it was quite an adventure...... Good times!

It is hard to tell what a cliff we are on, but that tree is the only thing holding the Rhino on the top. It was so steep and scary, it doesnt even look bad in this picture though

They did this the whole time....guys can be so boring :) Just kidding.....it was alot of fun.

Jesse has always had a fascination with vacuums. He likes to take apart my Kirby and put it back together and he will vacuum anything. We bought him his own little vacuum to use. One day Jesse and Josie dressed them up and gave them faces and everything. They are such goofers, but at least they are creative and it entertained them for hours.

Jesse Turns the Big Five

Jesse's favorite thing in the whole world is the big blue Bronco. It has been since he was little. It was one of his first words, he goes out to check on it and tell it good night and one of his favorite things to do is wash all the mud off of it after we take it digging. I kept asking him what he wanted for his birthday. He said a picture of the Bronco and a Lightening McQueen Blanket. I took him out and took some pictures of him with the Bronco and put them into a frame for him. He loved it and it is hung proudly on his bedroom wall so he can see it everyday. He got a Lightining McQueen bedspread and had a party with his friends. His cake is a train that each kid got to decorate their own box car and of course the blue one in the front is a bronco.

They had candy everywhere.....It was a blast!

Jesse also loves his dads big green truck. He is all boy and he likes his trucks :)

One day I could not get the Bronco to start and he said here mom.....he took the gear shift and pushed it all the way over, turned the key and it started. He is no dummy when it comes to his Bronco. He climbed down on the floor and pushed the petal with his hand and revved the engine. I've never seen such a big smile.....

I love this one....... What a cutie!

It's pretty big, but he likes to do it all by himself....He is five you know :)
