Our Happy Little Family: A Healing Vacation For Josie

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Connie Gorham invited Josie to stay with them for a while this summer in Aberdine Idaho. She was so excited because she stayed with them last summer and she remembered how much fun she had. Connie was able to spend 24/7 with her and watch her very closely, which was comforting to Zach and I. They colored in coloring books and made christmas ornaments, necklaces, brownies, cookies and pumpkin bars. She walked the yard with grandpa and checked on all the plants and the garden. They bought her a baby swing in the shape of a car and hung it from their awesome huge pine tree in their yard. She loved to swing in it. They pulled her to the park in the wagon and had several cook outs in the fire pit. She absolutely was so spoiled sleeping in between grandma and grandpa at nights and she even requests ice in all of her drinks. It was a rude awakening to have to come home and sleep in her own bed and share our attention with 3 other kids. Oh well she missed us and is happy to be home, but she misses grandma and grandpa and Micah very much. Thanks for everything you did for her and for our family. We love you!!!

This is a huge blanket that Connie made for Josie while she was visiting. It has 60 fuzzy pockets filled with prizes in each pocket. They gave it to her right before she left. She can pick one prize each day, and when there are no prizes left she can jump and be wild again. What a clever idea!!! We love you!

Josie asked grandma what she was working on when she was making the blanket throughout her entire visit. Grandma told her it was a surprise for her, but she had to wait to find out what it was. Josie said OK and never asked about it again and did not try to peak.

I stopped at a yard sale and bought some dress up dresses for the girls to play in and the old lady gave the boys these old grandpa hats for FREE! They were so excited and wore them all day:)

Josie loved this strawberry dress up dress. She had so much fun checking on picking the strawberries with grandma and grandpa.

Connie did not want to do this picture, but I made her because I thought the old fashioned ruffeled panites were so funny. Thanks for being such a good sport!

They spent so much time coloring on this massively huge picnic table in the yard. Coloring is Josies favorite thing to do and the yard and the shade trees and the birds singing just made it perfect.
