Run. Drive. Sleep? Repeat. Ragnar Relay

Imagine this: RED ROCK then VIEWS OF THE STRIP at night then more RED ROCK. You and 11 of your closest friends running relay-style day and night. Starting in the red rock oasis of VALLEY OF FIRE State Park, your team of 12 maniacs will be embarking on a 180 MILE ADVENTURE-FEST sure to fill all of your desires. The party in your van will only get better as you leap frog your way past the breathtaking views of LAKE MEAD, stunning views of the strip at night and then onto the majestic cliffs of RED ROCK CANY0N The race (and your stamina) will wrap up at Red Rock Casino in LAS VEGAS

Six more days!!!! I am way excited! I will be running with several officers from the prison and their spouses. I'm excited to make some new friends and challenge myself with this run. I have not been able to train as much as I had hoped because I constantly am getting sick.... Thanks Carl for dragging me along on your runs.... We will do awesome!!! Wish us luck!!! Zach and Brenna get training because we are dragging you on the next one:)

FRONT SIGHT

On Sept. 18th (my birthday), Zach and I started our four day defensive handgun course at front sight in Pahrump Nevada. My sweet friend Brenna watched our kids for us while we shot our hearts out. The weather was as high as 118 degrees. It was HOT!!! We shot for up to 13 hours a day. To say the least it was mentally and physically exhausting. We learned some new techniques. Some we liked and some we didn't, but we freshened up on our skills. All in all it was a good experience and it was nice to be with Zach for 4 days straight. Thanks to Dr. Von Pratt that invited us to go and participate in a course that we normally could not afford. It was a top of the line, high class facility. Thanks Gunnison city for paying for our hotel room and our gas and thanks to the mexican selling garlic and onion pistachios in a stand on the side of the highway. They were soooooo good!

God Picked Us Some Good Ones....

I hear of the many struggles that some of my co-workers are having with their kids, and I am so greatful for my beautiful children. I want them and everybody else to know how much I love and appreciate them. I couldnt ask for better kids or a better husband to help me raise our kids. Here are just some of the reasons I am so proud of them.....

* They have manners and use them (except for Jesse who belches at the dinner
table. He cant seem to figure out how to hold it in, but he does say excuse me)
-Zane thanks us for everything that most kids would not even recognize.
* They are so full of love
-Zane tells us he loves us 100 times a day
-Josie is a love bug that never quits hugging
-They were concerned about a boy that got off the wrong bus stop.
-They pray for all their friends and family
* They are creative
-You should see how the boys decorate their beds. Jesse has a cowboy
theme with boots and hats and horse blankets and Zane has a sport
theme with ball caps and ball blankets. It is not too my taste, but they
like it and they were so proud to show me.
- They love to cut paper and build things. They will color and draw any time
of the day. They love to sing and dance and make up plays to perform.
* They are responsible
-Zane wakes up to an alarm clock for school and then wakes the other kids
-Macie calls us on the cell phone every 5 secs. to let us know she is OK
when she goes to a friends house.
*They are helpful
-They can unload the dishwasher and take out the trash. Jesse loves to
vacuum and they all put their clothes away.
-Macie helps Josie count her rocks for homework
- They remind me to give them their vitamins
*They keep us on the straight and narrow
-They love to go to church and scouts
-They love to read the scriptures and they fight about who will say the
prayer
- Macie reminds me that I shouldnt swear

I could go on and on and on...... They each have such special qualities and innocent fun personalities that compliment each other nicely. My life would be incomplete without them and I love them more than anything in this world.

Silly Kids

They came upstairs all dressed in their cowboy clothes and dresses and told Zach and I to sit on the couch. They had a play that they wanted to perform for us. It was so funny and entertaining. I am so glad they are close in age and they play so well together.

First Day of School 2009-2010

Jesse does not start preschool until the 9th of September, but he still wanted a lunch packed to take to Brenna's house for the day. He was plum tuckered...

I would say dad did a darn good job getting the kids ready. After several lessons, he has got the pony tails mastered.

Zane got Mr. James this year for third grade and he loves him alot.

Macie got Mrs. Hendrickson for first grade. She is very strict and structured which works well for Macie and her OCD personality.

Josie got Mrs. Henry for morning Kindergarten and Mrs. Oliver in the afternoon. She calls them her blonde and brown teachers.

This was done in the photo studio at Lagoon. It was so much fun for the kids to dress up and Jesse loved the hat he picked out. Josie was upset they did not have a dress like Macies in her size.
